Make Art An Elite Act Again
I'm pretty much an elitist when it comes to artistic spaces. The over-saturation of our private spaces have led to things like Spotify, 360 deals, artists who create for the consumer and not themselves. Leaving their best work on the shelves because although beautiful it won't make the labels happy.
Elitist. Just means those people who are great at what they do. They take the time to cultivate their skillset. Typically they grew into their artistry in a small bedroom, or small space, where not too many knew of its existence. They were creatives before they even knew they were creatives.

Even the man himself knows it. Every great creative knows the importance of humble spaces. The more disheveled the bedroom the more creative the human was getting. The more secretive the louder the finished product. & sometimes we worked tirelessly, just for nothing to be released. That’s our business though and I’d be damned if I’m rushed by some rich goober in a suit who doesn’t even know what a primary color is.
I say all that to say these things make art elite again. Make our spaces for the elite among us again. I mean….share with the public but don’t be so quick to let them sit at your table.
Also, sit that ass down and train before you worry about your next viral clip, before you make a “run” for the bag, maybe study the greats a bit. Gain a lil wisdom. We don’t need anymore fools who’s main priority are views and money operating in this space any longer. Art is rich and fun but art is also a sharp sword and it doesn’t belong in the hands everyone.
