What A Busy Mind Wants!
The busy mind is a headache.
For most of the people I’ve encountered there’s a looming bit of self hate that comes with having an overcompensating mind.
So I thought I’d come forth with some tips on how I handle (tussle) with having a busy mind. No keywords or points as that bores the soul but insteaf some real life and tangible tasks to give one’s self.
For starters, if the mind is ever wandering I’ve come to find that starting the day off with 🪴 🌱 🌿 is one of if not the worse ways to handle it. Now, not only is your brain busy as shit, you’re now stuffed in the couch. Anxiety fucking city. This isn’t an absolute, nor do I denounce the medicinal effects of smoke….just saying, a lot of folk can’t handle a wake and bake but they’re pretending it’s pure bliss.
Be honest with you, I say.
The mind of the human is our greatest evolutionary traits. Unlike the apex predators we share the earth with, we don’t come out of the toy box with sharp teeth, nails, hyperspeed, or evern venomous bites (almost though). We are problem solvers. Give the brain a task or even multiple task.
I would start my day (before I ever touched my phone to check emails or socials)with writing1 to 3 pages of nonsense. Get you a journal, my boy!
What this does is help to empty the mind. A brief bit of meditation for those with too busy a mind to sit still in one place for 30 minutes. It doesn’t matter so much about what you write, or how you mess up. It’s moreso about getting all of the thoughts from brain to page.
Even if it’s just 1 page of the same phrase “I suck at free writing” trust me, you’ll find a break through.
Do this everyday.
Do this every morning.
Do not break!
Because in an instant you’re not so much in your brain anymore but on a page. Being a neruotypical person, for all my days, having a journal has done wonders for my personal life, even my life with my partners.
As taught to me by the book the artist way. Journaling allows us to create art out of dismay. Even if we don’t consider ourselves #creatives
Try it out!
Furthermore, lots of peeps hate this part but do a lil bit with the body. Even if it’s 10 minutes of your day. I have been preaching body and mind connectivity for the longest and will continue to do so.
Proudly!!
I theorize that the masses disgust with physical activity in the first world comes from our exhaustion from being overworked and underpaid. So just the mere idea of doing more physical activity after being physically exhausted from the hell fire that is our occupation, is crazy work.
Just dance, my guy!
If you listening to music all day anyways just frantically and eccentricity connect with sound. Doesnt matter how it looks. There’s more joy in dancing to two of your favorite songs than could ever be found within the gym.
Anywho, this is where I stand.
All things I preach I have put to the test on myself and being that I am my own experiment and experience. I’m here to say, yay, these things work.
