4 Reasons Every Artist Should Consider Street Art
#Busking aka streetperforming
So many creatives sleep on it.
If you play an instrument, dance, paint, sing, whatever the medium of choice & you have a tough time breaking through into the art world.
Have you ever considered busking?
At times I have traveled over-seas with 200 dollars to my name. Just to stay in beautiful European cities for months because I knew I had a job when I got there. I knew that I had a job every where that I landed.
Granted, I use to busk in my home town but the appreciation wasn't the same.
I hold know malice.
As sometimes it really is where you are in the world and not you as an artist. Europe, the people and the place as a whole I have found to truly have a higher level of appreciation for the good stuff.
(No disrespect America. Americans just works far too much and hard too really sit down and be able to enjoy all ze arts.)
1. I found that busking is its own calling card.
2. People tip in many ways. Some with money, some with jobs, some paint a picture of you or shoot content for you.
3. Endless content that can be transcribed and posted online which sooner or later will equate to money.
4. You can work almost any where in the global west.
Sure.
It takes some getting used to but I can tell you from over a decade of experience that it does pay.
Let's not even talk about places like Switzerland & Austria.
I was seriously making more than most doctors.
Sometimes you just need to roll the dice and do the things that are a mystery to you.
Anywho...
I hope/wish you humans well.
